“Woodgrove Care Ltd” was founded in 1996 by the proprietors, due to the obvious requirement for such establishments. During the course of their other business activities involving property management and the provision of Temporary Accommodation for the Homeless and Private Sector Leasing. It became apparent that there was shortage of suitable placements for young people in need of care as well as accommodation.

With this in mind, “Woodgrove” was opened after undergoing the usual stringent registration checks. After successfully operating for some time, it was decided that  a new home was needed to accommodate the demand that was being placed on “Woodgrove”.
 
“Church Street”, was commissioned mid-July 2001, This new development was designed using the valuable lessons learnt during the set-up and operation of “Woodgrove”. 

 
The annual Inspections carried out by the Local Authorities and the implementation of the National Care Standards, ensure that our “Home” is run to the highest of standards.


We believe that we, as an organization we provide an essential service to our community, and the Young people in our community. This is why we will seek to continue to develop not only our existing homes, but also to develop new homes using the latest methods of construction, décor and more importantly “Care”.

We will seek to introduce new initiatives such as smaller care units instead of the larger more “institutional” buildings. We will also look to develop an offshoot of the residential care home, namely semi-supervised independent living units for those coming to the leaving care age.
